About Sam

After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National Art School in Sydney and a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) at Sydney College of the Arts, Samantha Robinson founded her Sydney based ceramic design studio in 2000.
From the very beginning, Samantha has been driven by a deep love of colour, form, and the pure beauty of porcelain. Each piece is individually handmade using the finest materials, infused with her signature style and exquisite attention to detail. The result is work that feels as good in your hands as it looks on your table, beautiful, functional art designed to be part of everyday life.
Her designs have been embraced by leading chefs and restaurants, including Longrain, Pheasant, Miss G’s, Kylie Kwong, and Jamie Oliver, as a canvas for their culinary creations. Beyond the kitchen, Samantha has collaborated with some of Australia’s most iconic institutions and brands including the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney Opera House, The Mint, the Jewish Museum of Australia, T2, and Ovolo Hotels as well as many celebrated restaurants, chefs, and interior designers.
Internationally, Samantha has designed and produced exclusive porcelain collections for Anthropologie for over a decade, alongside exhibiting her work in galleries and selling through hand-picked boutiques worldwide.
With a fearless approach to design and a constant curiosity for experimenting with new forms and finishes, Samantha creates everything from delicate teacups and playful watermelon bowls to sculptural lighting and porcelain furniture. Each piece is made to be used, loved, and lived with bringing joy, beauty, and a touch of artistry to the everyday.
